Formation	March 1980, Degree in Physics cum laude at University of Napoli (Italy).  February 1987,  P.h.D. in Physics at University of Napoli (Italy) discussing the thesis "Electromagnetic modes in confined systems". During the PhD studies he has worked at the Institute of Theoretical Physics of Chalmers University in Goteborg (Sweden) collaborating with Prof. Stig Lundqvist.
Academic positions and research experience	From 1988 to 1990 associated researcher at the Institute of Theoretical Physics of Umea University (Sweden). During this time he has been collaborating with the group of Prof. P. Minnhagen on vortices in super conducting films and high temperature superconductors From 199170 2000 full time researcher at the Naples University "Federico II" where he has been teaching Physics and Solid State Physics tutoring a number of degree and P.h.D. students. On June 2000 he has got the position of associate professor at the University of Napoli "Federico II". Starting from November 2002 he is member of Farmacy Faculty at the University of Napoli "Federico II" where he teaches Physics.
