My name is Ebrahim Karimi. I was born on May 24, 1978 at Saghez (Saqqez) a nice and cold city beside of Chelcheshme mountains (KURDISTAN-IRAN). I began my primary school in VAHDAT school. Then, I went to TARBIAT school, and I finished my high school at EGHBAL LAHORI. I got my diploma in Mathematics and Physics, after that I was interested in electronic and I got the electronic diploma. During my study at high school I participated in several national physics conferences.

I started my university study at KERMAN university in 1997, and I got  my BSc as the first student of the physics department on 2001. Furthermore, during that time I passed many mathematics courses at mathematics department.

I began my postgraduate study at IASBS institute as a best 18th iranian students. I enter  to the mathematical physics group my thesis in IASBS first as a Mathematical Physics student, then, I changed my field and I finished my thesis under supervising Prof. Arashmid NAHAL and under advising Prof. Yousuf SOBOUTI on “Laser Cooling”. During that time I worked on Singular optics with Prof. Tavassoli and Dr. Khalesifard.

After MSc, I found several positions on some foreign countries, but I had to pass my military service spam before. So, I went to KURDISTAN university as a researcher and I have found many good friends there like Dr. Karami, Prof. Setare, Dr. Saaidi and Prof. Soltanian.

I got my PhD degree as the best student on the light orbital angular momentum and its application on the classical and quantum information at university of Naples  “Federico II”, in ITALY on 2009 under supervising Prof. Lorenzo marrucci and Prof. Enrico Santamato. 

Now, I’m a Postdoc researcher at “Federico II”, university of Naples, in the group of Prof. Lorenzo marrucci, and Prof. Enrico Santamato.

I’m a member of OSA (Optical Society of America), EOS (European Optical Society) and CNR-INFM Coherentia.
